Tune in to the culminating live events of Tulane University Libraries (TUL) Faculty Author Spotlight series. Seventeen of the faculty participants will be discussing their recent publications and answering questions live about their field of study over three days. Moderated by librarians Melissa Chomintra and Courtney Kearney, attendees will be able to engage with the authors over a casual brown-bag style Zoom meeting. The panel group for Tuesday will be Joan Blakely, Joel Dinerstein, Victor Holtcamp, Mimi Schippers, and Nubian Sun.

In 2019, Tulane University Libraries (TUL) librarians created the Faculty Author Spotlight series to promote current scholarship on campus. As the informational hub of campus, TUL has continued the Faculty Author Spotlight in 2020 as a virtual program in an effort to unite the campus during these unprecedented times. This digital collection is available to all Tulane affiliates and the public in an effort to celebrate the authors, promote the extensive scholarship at Tulane, and encourage cross campus scholarly conversations. Covid19 presents the Tulane community with the need for new ways to support faculty engagement interests. The virtual Faculty Author Spotlight will allow librarians to continue to support and engage with faculty during this adjusted semester. Videos have been released every Monday and Friday this semester since September 14, 2020.
