Uptown Campus

Tulane students, staff, faculty and parents are invited to visit the Newcomb Art Museum (located in the Woldenberg Art Center) for extended hours during Graduation Week, 10am-4pm on Thursday, May 20th and Friday, May 21st (no registration or tickets required). Masks are required to be worn on Tulane's campus at all times.

A culmination of five collaborations across the America, Newcomb's latest exhibition Laura Anderson Barbata: Transcommunality blends political activism, street theater, sculpture, and arts education while bringing attention to civil, indigenous, and environmental rights issues. Varying in process, tradition, and message – each of the works on view emphasize Anderson Barbata's understanding of art as a system of shared practical actions with the capacity to increase communication across cultures and enhance human connection and belonging.
