After cancelling its 53rd season due to COVID-19 restrictions, Summer Lyric Theatre at Tulane University will return to the confines of Dixon Hall with the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein. The Tony Award-nominated A Grand Night for Singing is a collection of some of the most memorable songs ever written for the musical theatre stage. Featuring selections from Rodgers & Hammerstein’s nine stage shows and two movie/television musicals, audiences of all ages will delight in this treasure trove of tunes penned by the masters of the American musical. You will be hard pressed not to sing-along with such classics as “Surrey with the Fringe on Top,” “If I Loved You,” “Shall We Dance?,” “Some Enchanted Evening."  Directed and choreographed by Diane Lala, and featuring Chase Kamata, Katie Howe, John Michael Haas, Rachel Looney and Eric Shawn.
