Partnered CPR event with Tulane EMS

RHA will partner with Tulane EMS to provide free hands-only CPR to Tulane students passing by on McAllister. Tulane EMS’ CPR committee will recruit volunteers from within TEMS to teach hands-only CPR and AED use to students over the course of the four-hour event. We will also give away cookies at this event. This event will benefit residents and help them feel prepared for emergency situations like cardiac arrests. This event will also help students get exposed to Tulane EMS so that they feel comfortable activating emergency services when necessary. Additionally, Tulane EMS is working to make Tulane a HEARTSafe campus where 5% of the on-campus population knows CPR, so this event will help our campus be recognized for its emergency preparedness.
