Film Screening: The Skin You’re In

A Documentary Film by Dean Thomas LaVeist

In honor of National Public Health Week

Join us for a special screening exclusively for the Tulane community. Dean Thomas LaVeist, a renowned authority on health equity, recognized that Black Americans live sicker and die younger than any other ethnic group in the nation. In his documentary, he explores the complex reasons behind this disturbing phenomenon and how it’s rooted in racism. The film identifies the problem, explains the causes, and offers real solutions.

Screening followed by Q&A with the dean.
