2022 Adele Ramos Salzer Lecture: Dr. Lisa Wade

Dr. Lisa Wade will deliver the 2022 Adele Ramos Salzer Lecture.  Dr. Wade will share findings from her research project on the Tulane student experience during the pandemic. 

Lisa Wade is an Associate Professor at Tulane University with appointments in Sociology, the Gender and Sexuality Studies Program, and the Newcomb Institute. She is the author of American Hookup: The New Culture of Sex on Campus. She is also the author of numerous academic journal articles, as well as an introduction to sociology titled Terrible Magnificent Sociology and a sociology of gender textbook, Gender: Ideas, Interactions, Institutions, with Myra Marx Ferree. As a public-facing scholar, Lisa works to make her and others’ scholarship engaging to a public audience. This lecture series is dedicated to Adele Ramos Salzer (NC ’40). Her interest in academic programs focusing on women’s experiences led to the establishment of the Salzer lecture series. Her donation endowing the series has been generously strengthened through gifts in her memory from her family, friends, and classmates.
