Please join the Middle East and North African Studies Program for a screening of Persepolis (2007).

Persepolis follows the life of a young Iranian woman growing up during the political and cultural upheavals of the Iranian Revolution, based on the autobiographical graphic novels of the same name by French-Iranian author Marjane Satrapi, who also wrote and directed the film in collaboration with Vincent Paronnaud. This highly acclaimed film co-won the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 80th Academy Awards.
