Neo-Futurist Theater Workshop

The Neo-Futurists produce a weekly show called The Infinite Wrench, where ensemble members attempt to perform 30 plays in 60 minutes. The plays change every week and no one plays a character; all the theater members are themselves and write from their experiences. It’s a deeply funny, absurd, and moving experience to watch these performers scramble on stage, rushing to perform short plays about imposter syndrome, lesbians and their carabiners, car accidents, “non-aerial” silk auditions, the punk songs that helped them come out, their vision of the Big Bang, how much dating sucks online, etc. The audience calls out the play they want to see by shouting, making the order totally random and filling the room with participation and madness.

You do NOT need to have any experience in theater – this is not acting. It’s an opportunity to be yourself. All you need is the desire to learn.

The workshop will run:

April 10^th-16^th

6pm-8:30pm each day (with a final performance, invite-only, on Sunday)
