Please join Tulane School of Social Work's Student Government Association in welcoming Louis "Lou" Gibson and Everett "Buff" Offray for a lunch and learn discussion. When Lou and Buff were adolescents, they were both sentenced to prison sentences of life without parole. Lou and Buff served their time in the Louisiana State Penitentiary, Angola. Following changes to sentencing statutes, they have since been released. Now, Lou and Buff work as Peer Advocates at the Orleans Public Defenders. At this event, they will discuss their period of incarceration, release, and how they serve clients today.
