Inside Congress: A Dialogue with Congressman Suhas Subramanyam
This event will feature a conversation with United States Congressman Suhas Subramanyam about his experience serving in Congress and his journey in public service. During the discussion, Congressman Subramanyam will share insights from his time on Capitol Hill, including his work on legislation, the day-to-day responsibilities of a member of Congress, and the challenges and opportunities involved in representing constituents at the national level. He will also reflect on the legislative process, collaboration across government, and the importance of leadership, civic engagement, and public service in today’s political landscape.
Members of the Tulane community will have the opportunity to hear directly from Congressman Subramanyam and gain a deeper understanding of how Congress functions and how policy decisions are made. The conversation will also provide space for attendees to ask questions and engage in dialogue about careers in government, policymaking, and public leadership.
