Tulane students support local high schools through the Applied Ethics course (PHIL 3930) and a Public Service Internship, working directly with high school students and faculty for local High School Ethics Bowl competitions held on Tulane’s campus. This scrimmage brings participating high schools to campus to compete in a debate-like format, practicing constructive dialogue for collaborative decision making on controversial topics. Teams will review 3 rounds of cases before a winner is determined. High school students are accompanied by coaches and often parents. The program is facilitated by Tulane service learners and TUEB team members.
