Retirement Celebration Honoring Carl Bankston

Please join us for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on Friday, April 17th at 4 PM at the 1834 Club to celebrate the retirement of Professor Carl Bankston, III.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to honor Professor Bankston’s many years of dedication to Tulane University. We hope you can join us in recognizing his remarkable career and contributions.
Dr. Bankston previously served as the director of Asian Studies for several years while also chairing the Sociology Department. His research spans the sociology of immigration, education, religion, and economics, and he has published numerous books and journal articles.
His talk, "Retrospective: Four decades of sociology," will begin at 1 pm on Friday, April 17th , in Jones Hall, Room 308 (please see attached flyer). A cocktail reception will follow at 4 pm at the 1834 Club.
