Universal design (UD) for learning is an approach to designing course instruction, materials, evaluation, activities, and content in such a way that all people can participate in the educational process without adaptation or modification. Using this concept, many formal accommodations will likely be avoided because options for learning and evaluation are accessible to everyone. Participants in this presentation will learn more about the Goldman Center's mission at Tulane, accommodations and why they are important, and ways to incorporate elements of UD that create a more easily accessible environment for everyone.
