A native New Yorker and USA Today bestselling author Ellen Byron is a television writer, playwright, and freelance journalist. Byron is also a Newcomb College graduate, Class of  '77, drawing her Cajun inspiration from the time spent in New Orleans. Her acclaimed novel series encompasses four books, including Plantation Shutters, Body on the Bayou, A Cajun Christmas Killing, and Mardi Gras Murder. Her TV credits include Wings, Still Standing, and Just Shoot Me, and her written work has appeared in Glamour, Redbook, and Seventeen, among others.
