* Welcome reception the evening before in the Goldring Woldenberg Business Complex

Our conference theme this year, The Power of Engagement, was inspired by the incredible philanthropic work of Mrs. Gayle Benson, our 2019 keynote speaker.

With breakout session themes such as How Being Engaged Contributes to Your Career, Time Management Tips for the Overly Engaged, and From Passion to Purpose – When Personal Interests Become Business Opportunities the conference goal is to aid and inspire women to pursue leadership positions and how being engaged in their community, professional organizations, and within their company can accelerate their rise to the top.

The stories of success this year’s speakers have to share will undoubtedly uplift and empower attendees.  Speakers include Dr. Trivia Frazier, the first African American woman to complete the dual degree program in physics and engineering between Dillard and Tulane Universities, Dr. Terryl Propper, the first female President of the Tennessee Dental Association in 150 years, and Dr. Mary Killackey, the first female Chair of the Tulane Department of Surgery, Tulane School of Medicine.

Many of our speakers have successfully managed their careers while taking care of their families, spearheading community organizations, and actively participating in professional organizations. They have started their own businesses, initiated workplace support groups, and have been recognized through such local programs as Gambit Magazine’s 40 under 40and the Young Leadership Council’s annual Role Model Awards Gala.

There will be plenty of networking opportunities throughout the conference, starting with the welcome reception Friday evening. Time is scheduled between breakout sessions and during the networking luncheon on Saturday to facilitate connections among attendees.
