CALEA Public Notice and List of Standards
On Tuesday, June 11, 2019, a team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA), will arrive to examine the Tulane University Police Department’s compliance with 181 law enforcement standards. The assessment is part of a voluntary process to maintain accreditation, a highly prized recognition of professional excellence. As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments about the TUPD’s ability to meet the standards for accreditation in one of three ways:
- At a public information session at 6 p.m. Tuesday June 11, 2019, in room 102 of Dinwiddie Hall, 6823 St. Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA. Appearances at the public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA standards
- By telephone at 504.988.7497 between the hours of 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday June 11, 2019. Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA standards: or
