2024 Spring Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium

The 2024 Spring Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium presents a joint poster session by the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR), The Center for Engaged Learning and Teaching (CELT), and the Center for Academic Equity (CAE). The symposium highlights the research and experiences of over 50 NTC students who received more than $100,000 in grant funding to support their unique and ambitious projects.

Data as a Course Material (A Faculty Discussion) (Love Data Week 2024)

Join faculty members from across the university in a discussion on how they use data as course materials. Participants will also learn how to access data through the University Libraries' search interface.  This event is in partnership with CELT.

Using OERs in The Classroom - Panel Discussion

Have you considered using an Open Educational Resource or Open Textbook in one of your classes but are unsure where to start? In this panel, we will have faculty and graduate students who currently use OERs in their classrooms share their experiences to date as well as some suggestions on how to incorporate OERs into your teaching. 

This workshop will be in person only. The physical location of this event is the CELT-ILC Classroom. Located in Howard-Tilton Memorial Library, Suite 300, Room 306

WORKSHOP: Incorporating Film into Your Course-Increasing Student Engagement and Critical Thinking

In this 1-hour online workshop, we’ll share different ways film can be incorporated into your teaching as an interdisciplinary pedagogical resource. Attendees are invited but not required to bring and share their own lesson plans using film. The session will wrap up with a brief overview of the many film resources and services offered by Tulane University Libraries to support your teaching with film.

Digital Scholarship Retreat

The Digital Scholarship Retreat is an intensive digital scholarship workshop designed for faculty, postdocs and graduate students to engage with digital concepts, methodologies, and tools while, at the same time, build community and identify support networks at Tulane. After attending, attendees will be able to incorporate new digital concepts, methodologies, and tools directly into their own teaching and/or research.
