Introduction to EndNote 20 workshop

EndNote is the citation management software that not only frees you from the tedious work of manually collecting and curating your research materials and formatting bibliographies, but also gives you greater ease and control in coordinating with your colleagues. In this workshop, participants will learn how to install EndNote with Tulane settings, create an EndNote library, import search results from databases, and automatically create a bibliography in Microsoft Word.

Measuring your Impact: Impact Factors and Altmetrics workshop

This workshop will help you measure and assess your impact in the scholarly community and beyond. Using tools such as Web of Science, InCites, Google Scholar, Publish or Perish, and Altmetric Bookmarklet we will explore the different ways to conduct a citation analysis, locate your h-index, and alternative metrics (twitter, blogs, social networking). Although this workshop is geared towards published scholars (formal publications or blogs), it is also useful for students looking to find collaborators, supervisors, or career opportunities.

Introduction to Electronic Research Notebooks workshop

Designed to replace paper notebooks, LabArchives is a a secure, cloud-based electronic notebook that enables researchers to capture, manage, store, and share information and data. They are also designed for intuitive use, ease of search, collaboration, versioning, and archiving. In this workshop you will be provided an overview of LabArchives and learn the benefits of moving from a paper to an electronic notebook.

Step-by-step demonstrations will be given of how to use the DMPTool to ensure your grant proposal addresses federal guidelines.

Organize, Cite, and Manage: Using Zotero for Research Data Management workshop

Zotero is a free tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share information. We will also consider it as a tool for long-term research data management. In this workshop we will install Zotero, add sources to a library, create a bibliography in the citation style of your choice, and learn the basics of organizing and managing research sources as data for the long-haul.

Digital Storytelling: Create a Digital Exhibit
