Sound Wave Pep Band performs in Krewe of King Arthur Parade

SoundWave Pep Band was founded in 1992, and was a vital group in efforts to 'bring back the marching band,' notably working with & fundraising with the Emeritus Club to do so in the years immediately prior to Katrina.   SoundWave is a Tulane University Student Club, now under the auspices of the Tulane Band program: this is a parade in which they have frequently participated.

Tulane University Marching Band performs in Krewe of Orpheus

The Tulane University Marching Band which debuted at Carnival 2006 with 26 members now fields almost 100 members, - musicians, dance team & colorguard - for Carnival season 2020.  The last parade performance this season by the TUMB is in Orpheus, first parading in 1994, which was co-founded, among others, by Tulane alumni Harry Connick Sr. & Jr. Orpheus was the first super Krewe with both male and female riders.

Allen Vizzutti, International trumpet virtuoso & Yamaha Performing Artist offers FREE master class workshop

International trumpet virtuoso and Yamaha Performing Artist Allen Vizzutti will be presenting a master class workshop on Monday, September 23 at 1pm - 3pm in the Dixon Hall Band Room, 260 Dixon Annex.  Free and open to the public. Workshop co-presented by Music Department faculty member Ashlin Parker.  Co-sponsors are the TUMB and Department of Music Jazz Program.  Guests are encouraged to bring their trumpets!
