Music at Midday is a weekly concert series featuring a wide variety of musical artists and genres. Performances are Wednesdays at noon in Rogers Memorial Chapel. Free and open to the public.

The Nutcracker

From an enchanting party, a dramatic battle and dancing dolls to a whimsical journey to the Land of Sweets, this magical tale is uniquely brought to life by over 100 participants ages 6-70+ of NOBA’s nationally award-winning 32-year partnership with NORD.

Tulane Orchestra

Please join Tulane University Orchestra for its Fall Concert. Music Department faculty Katalin Lukacs is the featured soloist in the brilliant Piano Concerto #1 by Liszt; Prokofiev's whimsical Lieutenant Kije Suite and Dance of the Hours by Ponchielli are also on the program. The concert will take place on Thursday, November 16 at 7:30 at Dixon Auditorium.

Crescent City Chamber Music Festival

The seldom heard music of Ernest Chausson is featured on this program, with a rendition of his heartbreaking Chanson Perpétuelle (“Endless Song”) and his sprawling, ecstatic masterpiece, the Concerto for Violin, Piano, and String Quartet, along with additional selections of Robert Schumann, Richard Strauss, and Samuel Barber.  The warm, majestic acoustic of Dixon Concert Hall at Tulane University will be home to an evening of glorious music making!

Spectri Sonori - Jeremy Huw Williams and Timothy Todd Simmons

Spectri Sonori, a concert series and a chamber music ensemble specializing in performance of contemporary music, has been in residence at the Newcomb Music Department, Tulane University, since 1987. The series has presented the most recent compositions along with the established masterpieces of the recent past.
