Mr. Brownlee’s previous experience includes serving as the Minister Counselor for Consular and Consulate Affairs in Mexico. He was also the Director of the Office of Central American Affairs, where he oversaw the implementation of the U.S. Strategy for Engagement in Central America.

When Bad Things Happen to Privileged People

The Tulane Department of Political Science is pleased to present Dara Strolovitch, Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies at Princeton University who will give a seminar entitled "When Bad Things Happen to Privileged People: Race, Gender, and the Political Construction of Crisis & Non-Crisis" on Friday Sept. 20th, 2019 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the Greenleaf Conference Room (Jones Hall 100A).

Guest Speaker: Dr. Jana Grittersova

Dr. Jana Grittersova will be on campus to present research drawn from her recent book, Borrowing Credibility: Global Banks and Monetary Regimes. The talk is scheduled for Thursday, February 7, 3:30PM-5:00PM in Gibson Hall Room 126. The talk is free and open to the public. 

Dr. Grittersova is an associate professor of political science and cooperating faculty in the department of economics at UC Riverside. She holds a PhD in political science from Cornell and a PhD in economics from the University of Economics, Bratislava. 

The Imprisoner’s Dilemma

There will be a political science seminar on April 26th entitled "The Imprisoner’s Dilemma: A study of Defection and Deflection following Political Arrests."  The speaker will be Christopher Sullivan from Louisiana State University.

It will take place on Friday, April 26th from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the Greenleaf Conference Room in Jones Hall.
