Tulane Brain Institute Distinguished Lecture: Aging, Memory, and the Brain

The second annual Tulane Brain Institute Distinguished Lecture will take place on Wednesday, January 15. "Aging, Memory, and the Brain" features Dr. Carol Barnes, a world leader in the study of how the brain changes during normal aging and the associated impacts for memory. Dr. Barnes is Regents Professor, Evelyn F. McKnight Chair for Learning and Memory in Aging, and Director of the Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Arizona. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and past-president of the Society for Neuroscience. All are welcome to attend.

This two-day event will showcase the diversity of health sciences research at Tulane and will feature presentations by students, faculty and staff university-wide. Poster presentations will be displayed for review from 9am-4pm each day at the J. Bennett Johnston Building on the downtown campus, and a series of prizes will be awarded by Deans and Center Directors for outstanding presentations.

Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD)

Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) is a day to honor, raise awareness of, and pledge support for animals needed for biomedical research.  The purpose of this event is to educate people about the vital role animals play in the development of new treatments and cures for people and animals, highlight careers in biomedical research, and promote support for the compassionate care of animals needed for research.

30th Annual Health Sciences Research Days

This two-day event will showcase the diversity of health science-related research at Tulane, and will feature presentations by students, faculty and staff university-wide. Poster presentations will be displayed for review at the J. Bennett Johnston Building on the downtown campus from 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday and Tuesday March 18-19, and a series of prizes will be awarded by Deans and Center Directors for outstanding presentations. There will also be a number of associated lectures, and we will have information and representatives from research-related offices, cores and departments.
