Submit an Event

Posting events offers an opportunity to showcase Tulane's vibrant community and can help avoid scheduling conflicts. Events must take place on a Tulane campus, or be sponsored by a department or officially registered organization of Tulane.

Any member of the Tulane community (student, staff or faculty) can submit an event to the Calendar of Events using the secure online form. To access the form you will be asked for your Tulane email address and password. For outside organizations, if your event is on a Tulane campus and open to the public, ask the person making your reservation to submit your event to the calendar, otherwise send your event information to calendar@tulane.edu.

Steps to submit a new event:

  1. First, check to see if it is already listed. OrgSync events are automatically imported into this calendar.
  2. If you are going to include a photo, prepare your image following these instructions.
  3. Log in to https://events.tulane.edu/saml_login with your Tulane email address and password.
  4. Once you are logged in, you will see either a single black bar at the top of the page, or both a black bar and a white one beneath it. If you only see the black bar, click manage so the white bar appears.
  5. Click Content in the white bar, then click + Add content.
  6. Click Event and fill in the form. Required fields are marked with *.

Steps to edit an event you created on this website:

  1. Log in to https://events.tulane.edu/saml_login with your Tulane email address and password.
  2. Once you are logged in, you will see either a single black bar at the top of the page, or both a black bar and a white one beneath it. If you only see the black bar, click manage so the white bar appears.
  3. Click Content in the white bar and any events that you have created will appear in the list on the page. Search options are available if you have a long list and want to find the pertinent event quickly.
  4. Click edit to the right of your event to make your changes.

Steps to remove an event you created on this website:

Note that if your event is canceled or rescheduled, it is better to edit the event to share that information with your audience.

  1. Log in to https://events.tulane.edu/saml_login with your Tulane email address and password.
  2. Once you are logged in, you will see either a single black bar at the top of the page, or both a black bar and a white one beneath it. If you only see the black bar, click manage so the white bar appears.
  3. Click Content in the white bar and any events that you have created will appear in the list on the page. Search options are available if you have a long list and want to find the pertinent event quickly.
  4. Check the box next to the event you want to remove, choose Unpublish in the operations drop-down above the list of events, then click the Execute button.
  5. Your event will disappear from the public views of the calendar, but can be restored if needed.
