MENA Film Night: The Law In These Parts

Can a modern democracy impose a prolonged military occupation on another people while retaining its core democratic values?

That is the question asked by the award-winning documentary The Law In These Parts, a film by Ra'anan Alexandrowicz and Liran Atzmor, about the court system operated by the Israel Defense Forces in the West Bank. It won the Best Documentary award at the 2011 Jerusalem Film Festival and the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize in Documentary at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
