Study Abroad in Europe

Interested in studying abroad in Europe? Come learn about the many different opportunities Tulane students have in Europe. A representative from the Study Abroad Office will cover the application process and logistics of going abroad. Additionally, we will have a panel of returned study abroad students who will share some of their experiences and give some tips. 

History of the Oktoberfest

Did you know that Oktoberfest is more than beer and lederhosen? Come listen to Sandy Pal of the German Department, talk about the history of the festival and how it is celebrated today. European Horizons is excited to present our first event of the year in conjunction with Tulane's German Club.

As always food will be provided and those who attend have a CHANCE TO WIN A TICKET to New Orleans' very own Oktoberfest hosted by Deutsches Haus!

Mississippi Swan's European Debut

To kick off the Spring 2019 semester, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Rick Snow, who will speak about his Mississippi Swan exhibition in Ireland and the latest developments in multi-modal art in Europe (please see the attached poster).

The event will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 6:00 pm in the Weatherhead classroom, and food and refreshments will be provided.

The links between France and Louisiana

The European Horizons think tank at Tulane University is very excited to announce that the first speaker of the 2018-2019 academic year will be the French Consul-General, Mr. Vincent Sciama, who will address the links between France and Louisiana. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life, Room 210 (McKeever Conference Room)  and light refreshments will be provided.
