Equity-Minded Reforms of Faculty Evaluation

KerryAnn O’Meara is Professor of Higher Education and Immediate Past President of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE). For ten years she served as the Director of the University of Maryland ADVANCE program which supports the hiring, recruitment, retention and advancement of women and Black and Brown faculty. Dr. O'Meara's research examines faculty careers and academic rewards systems with a particular focus on organizational practices that support and limit the full participation of diverse faculty and engaged scholars. Architecture Lecture Series: Kate Orff

Kate Orff will be presenting a lecture on Human Inhabitation & the Natural Environment on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 5:15-6:30pm. Orff is the Founding Principal of SCAPE Studio, and Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Resilient Cities and Landscapes at Columbia GSAPP. 

After her initial presentation, Orff will be joined by two additional respondents for an interdisciplinary conversation about her remarks and to answer any audience questions. The two respondents are as follows:

Please save the date for Part 1 of the upcoming Meta-Analysis Workshop series featuring Tulane University Professor of Epidemiology, Tanika Kelly, PhD, MPH. The workshop will be held on Thursday, September 17th from 2:00-3:30 PM. The goal of the Meta-Analysis Workshop is to provide didactic training on the following learning objectives:

1. Conduct systematic literature searches using large electronic databases and other resources

2. Assess the relevance and quality of scientific publications

3. Extract key data from scientific publications
